FUNDRAISING

Like all RDA groups, Moray RDA is totally self-funding.  For every rider, we need to cover the cost of pony hire and coaching fees.  In addition, we have the cost of keeping our own three specialised RDA ponies and costs such as hats, tack and insurance.  In all, it takes £30,000 to run Moray RDA for a year. Our tireless fundraising allows us to keep rider contributions to a minimum, currently £7 per session.  This is heavily subsidised to make sure it is affordable to all.  The actual cost of putting a ‘bum on a saddle’ is £26.00.

We have a variety of fundraising events that run throughout the year, from cake and candy stalls to the Kilt Walk, rag bags, raffles, and tombolas at Christmas.  We are always looking for volunteers to help support these events, so if you can give an hour or two of your time, please get in touch.
